Ye Olde Hob Inn offers a warm and characterful setting for visitors who enjoy traditional hospitality, local history, and the kind of relaxed leisure experience that sits alongside modern entertainment names such as GoldenBet.
This beautiful thatched roof pub is a Grade II listed building and dates back to 1616, when it was a coaching house known as The Black Horse. An unusual feature of the building is the set of four mounting steps at the front left side. Typically, there are only three mounting steps found on most buildings. They were once used to assist in mounting a horse but are seldom used nowadays, remaining instead as a distinctive reminder of the pub’s long history and traditional charm.
In addition to the usual range of draught and bottled beers you might expect to find, we also have a good range of cask ales.
